Unforced Rhythms of Grace

In every arena of life, believe it or not, you are programmed to believe that intellectual knowledge and outward behavior are the gold standards of being a successful human (lose weight, be nice, have a good job, eat healthy, memorize your math facts, go to church)

I’m not saying those disciplines are bad but what I am saying is that especially in our Western culture and mindset……we don’t comprehend or value Experience and Presence over knowledge and behavior.

One of the best stories that disrupts that paradigm…

From The Invitation by Tony Stolzfus……..

A good example of this inside-to-outside principle is the story of the woman caught in adultery (see John 8:1–11). The Pharisees brought Jesus someone who had broken the rules (the human way of outward change focuses on the rules) and tried to force Jesus to deal with the problem the way they would, focusing on the outward behavior. The act of adultery, the outward sin, was the problem they saw and wanted to address. Jesus refused to come at the problem that way. Instead of fixating on the outward issue, he focused inward, by facilitating an encounter where the woman experienced the heart of God touching her desire. She experienced an advocate taking her side even when she was in the wrong, and her desire to be pursued and valued was filled.

Over and over, Jesus worked with people to experience the Father’s heart. And since his death, burial, and resurrection, we’ve been invited to experience TOTAL LOVE and FREEDOM and LIFE ABUNDANT. An experience with Jesus will change the heart with the least pain and is astronomically faster than any dieting, discipline, or behavior modification.

There is a grace-flow referenced in one of my favorite verses Matthew 11:28-30 and I LOVE The Message translation of this verse….

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly”

Most people don’t understand that the easiest way to transform your outward reality is to start with transforming the heart and mind….and then when you write and speak the transformative words aloud…WATCH OUT, WORLD!

I’ll soon be releasing some resources that will teach you how to flow in God’s rest in unforced rhythms of grace to live the life you’ve dreamed of from the inside out!
